Vijayakanth said "on getting re-elected our agenda would be to construct a shopping complex at the Nadigar Sangam premises and ensure that we get regular income out of it, which would be utilized for the welfare of the association. The association goes to polls on Sunday and results will be declared that night. A small time actress Devi is contesting against Vijayakanth for the president's post. At the press meet on Friday evening, Vijayakanth was particularly scathing against the media for writing about some allegations that Devi had made against him.
Vijayakanth was strangely insistent that the Press should have clarified with him before publishing the charges that Chitra had made against him.
The point is most heroes are unavailable to the media when such items are published.
They are easily accessible only when their films are released or in times of elections.
