Nameedha is no just ordinary girl with a pretty pout. She is talented and she is confident. That is the reason young heroes cast her in their films.

Nameedha's latest is with Dhanush.

"I am acting opposite Dhanush in Oru Naal Oru Kanavu to be directed by Selvaraghavan, says Nameedha.

The Surat-born actress says, "the year began on a positive note for me with the release of my debut film
Engal Anna and it ended with the release of two of my movies Aei opposite Sarath Kumar and Mahanadigan with Sathyaraj".

Which is the one that is close to her heart? "Among the three movies, I liked Aei for it had scope for me to perform. I enjoyed my comedy sequences with Vadivelu. I don't want myself to be branded as just a glamour actress. I want to be an actress who can perform any role with ease".

"I am looking forward to my next movie Oru Naal Oru Kanavu opposite Dhanush which would commence soon. I consider myself lucky to have acted with senior actors like Vijayakanth, Sarath Kumar and Sathyaraj. Acting alongside seniors will help one to learn the trade quickly, she adds.

About her role in Dhanush's movie, Nameedha says, "it's a performance-oriented role with the right mix of glamour and gumption".
