Director Bala is busy producing Mayavi which stars Surya and Jyothika. The movie is being directed Bala's associate Singapuli. Bala made his mark as a director. But Mayavi marks his maiden attempt at production.

Meanwhile, this successful director has gone head and has decided to direct and also produce his next venture that would star Ajith in the lead role.

The movie has been titled Naan Kadavul. It would go to the floors by next May. Once Ajith completes his God Father, he would go for the shooting of Naan Kadavul.

For Ajith himself it must be a major graduation by moving from God Father to God.

But the industry which has been quick to brand Ajith as a bit of a show pony, sees delusions of grandeur in these titles that Ajith has chosen for his films.

But those who know Bala have, however, a different tale to tell.
