Film distributors, Theatre owners, exhibitors, Producer/Director unions and many more people have gathered today at Chepauk and staging a silent hunger strike for ex CM Jayalalithaa, who is currently in Bangalore prison in disproportionate asset case. The special court has convicted Jayalalithaa and pronounced 4 years of imprisonment and 100 crores penalty.

The K-town has issued a press release late evening yesterday and extended their support to ex CM. As expected a large crowd gathered from the film fraternity and a few notables like, Suriya, Vikram, Karthi, Siva Karthikeyan, Vemal, and Sarath Kumar took part in the hunger strike. However, the big four Rajini, Kamal, Ajith, and Vijay did not make their entry till 4 P.M and we are not sure whether they are not interested to take part or they missed it because of personal duties. Stay tuned!
