Big budget and mass heroes is a jittery combination. So when such flicks hit the big screen what others would generally prefer is to sit back and watch the movie and wait till the next best opportunity to release their own film. But Vishal is an actor who is not disturbed by any of that, as he always holds unshakable faith in his films. This was recently clear, as of last Diwali, when he released his mega hit 'Pandianadu' along side Ajith's 'Arrambam'. It is to be recalled that Vishal took a bigger daring step even seven years back, when he went ahead with the release of 'Thamirabarani' for Pongal in 2007, when Thala and Thalapathy parallelly released their flicks for the festivity - 'Alwar' and 'Pokkiri'. Now there is going to be yet another confident release of Vishal for this Diwali, when he will launch his 'Poojai' which is to compete with director Shankar's Vikram starrer 'I' and director AR Murugadoss' Vijay starrer 'Kaththi' at the box office.
However, it is to be noted that it was the 'Poojai' team that first declared their release date. Director Hari took his team to the floors to start shooting for 'Poojai' in April this year; even before the auspicious pooja was conducted for this project, the team declared that it will be released for Diwali this year. And the 'Poojai' team has stuck to their word, completing all work on time. 'I' and 'Kaththi' teams declared to release their films for Diwali, much after the declaration of 'Poojai'. Written and directed by Hari, the action based masala flick 'Poojai' stars Vishal and Shruthi Haasan in the lead, and is all ready to entertain us for the upcoming festival of lights. The team is likely to have their audio launch of music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, shortly. 'Poojai' is produced by Vishal's home banner Vishal Film Factory and is distributed by Vendhar Films.
