Thala` Ajith`s most expected film that is being directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is rapidly progressing. The shoots have been done predominantly in Chennai and a short stunt in Malaysia and Hyderabad have been completed. The yet to be titled film, which is being addressed so far with a nickname Thala 55` is being produced by A.M.Ratnam under Sri Satya Sai Movies Banner.

When the film started rolling in March, it was expected that the film will be completed as a quickie and it will be released sometime around Diwali. Later the director of the film, revealed in an interview that the film may hit the screens in November. But reports that came a few weeks back from reliable sources in the shooting spot revealed that the shooting itself will take until November and the film will release only in 2015 as a Pongal treat to Ajith fans.

However Indiaglitz has come to know from a reliable source that the release of this multi starrer project that will have Anushka, Trisha, Vivekh and Arun Vijay in pivotal roles will not take up to Pongal. The team instead is working hard to finish the film soon. The music album composed by Harris Jayaraj will be released in November and the film may hit the screens in December.
