Director Karthik Subbaraj`s second film Jiagarathanda` was completed a couple of months back but it is yet to release. This has lead to various rumours about the film.
News reports suggested that since the film has acquired a U/A` certificate from censor officials owing to its violent content, Kathiresan the producer of the film wants the director to remove some violent scenes in order to get U` certificate so that there won`t be any problem in selling the satellite rights of the film. It is also said that the director is not concur with the producer`s wish and this is the reason for film`s delay. Another rumor floating in newspaper and websites suggest that the film is complete rip off of a Korean film titled A Dirty Carnival`.
The team Jigarthanda` as an apparent mockery on these rumours has made a new poster for the film in which the headlines of these news reports based on rumours were printed. The poster has been posted in the official Facebook page of Jigarthanda`.
Menawhile director Karthik Subbaraj has denied the allegation that he has copied any film to make Jigarthanda`. He asserts that Jigarthanda` is a film on Rowdyism and it will be different from all the earlier films that based on this subject. He also clarified that he is not running short of ideas to copy from films made by others.
