Young hero Vikram Prabhu will be working with director Ezhil for one of his upcoming films. The film that was launched with a formal pooja in late actor and Vikram’s grandfather Sivaji Ganesan’s residence has got a title now. Sources close to the director have revealed that the film has been titled as ‘Vellaikaara Durai’ and as reported earlier, Sridivya will be play the lead heroine.

Though the film was launched on April 14, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Tamil New Year’s day, the shooting is yet to kick start. The director has revealed earlier that the film will kick start in May but till now there is no official word on when the film will go on floors.

Ezhil has however revealed that the film will be a romantic entertainer that is set in a village near Thanjavur.

Meanwhile Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming release will be ‘Arima Nambi’ directed by debutante Anand Shankar. He is also acting in ‘Sigaram Thodu’ directed by Gourav of ‘Thoonga Nagaram’ fame and the film is nearing completion. The young actor has also signed up to star in the Tamil remake of Malayalam super hit film ‘Ustaad Hotel’ which has been tentatively titled as ‘Thalappakatti’.
