‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan in busy acting in ‘Uttama Villain’ in which he plays the dual roles of a present day ageing superstar and a theater artist belonging to the 8th century. The Padma Bhushan actor has written the script for the Ramesh Aravind Directorial and also producing it along with N.Lingusamy’s Tirupathi Brothers.

Parvathy Menon of ‘Poo’ and ‘Maryan’ fame acts as the daughter of superstar ‘Manoranjan’ one of the characters played by Kamal in the film. Now we have come to know that Kamal’s real life daughter and leading heroine Sruthi Haasan was the initial choice for this role.

Shruthi Haasan has revealed in a recent interview that she was indeed approached to play the role but she could not accept the offer owing to her tight schedule. Shruthi currently has multiple projects in Hindi, Telugu andTamil and she is also getting many offers to croon. Shruthi says she regretted missing the offer, since it would have been a great experience to have acted as a daughter to her father.
