Vijay’s upcoming film Kaththi recently courted controversy for the alleged closeness of one of the producers of the film Lyca Entertainments with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakshe, who has been accused of spearheading the killing of innocent Tamils. The film is being co-produced by Ayngaran International.

But sources close to Lyca Etnertainments have revealed that the production house does not have any connection with the SL President and they are instead running an NGO to promote the welfare of Tamils living in the island nation.

Good news about Kaththi, is that director A.R.Murugadoss has completed 40% of the shoot and the film will definitely hit the screens on Deepavali. This is again confirmed by a source close to the producer.
