The audio of Director Vjay’s upcoming film Saivam was released recently. Many top heroes and heroines attended the event and made the event a star studded affair.

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon released the trailer and it was received by Anushka and Amala Paul. Songs composed by G.V.Prakash were released one by one. One song was released by Siddharth and Vijay Sethupathi. Another song was released by Jeyam Ravi and Samuthirakani.

Many other celebrities like Parthiepan. Editor Mohan and Dhananjayan of UTV etc participated in the function. Actor Vijay was represented by his wife Sangeetha.

The unique aspect of the audio launch event is that, many traditional dance forms like Karagattam. Poikkal kudhirai aattam Mayilattam etc were performed on stage to enthrall the audience. The stage was decorated in a way that gives a feel of being in Village festival.

Speaking at the event the director said that the story narrated by his mother during his young age has been used as a plot of Saivam. Vijay’s mother had once recalled that he would not eat vegetarian food during his childhood. He will not eat them even if it forcibly given to him. Vijay felt the way it was narrated by his mother was like a screenplay. So the director has taken it as a plot for developing the story of Saivam.
