Purampokku that is being directed by S.P.Jananathan after a long gap is progressing at a brisk pace. Aarya, Vijay Sethupahi, Karthika Nair and Tamannah play central characters in the film.

Recently team headed by the Peraanmai director completed a chase sequence in Bangalore airport that included Aarya and Shaam. Karthika Nair has a powerful role in this film and she is said to be learning martial arts for her character in the film.

As per sources prison set designed by the film’s Art Director Selvakumar of Madarasapattinam fame is being erected in Chennai. The prison set costs around Rupees Two crores. The next schedule that will commence in the middle of April will be shot in this set. The schedule will last for 40 days and all the four lead actors are expected to take part in this prison sequence. Interestingly the sequences shot in prison will be on a lighter note in the film.
