For the past two days the news that is headlined in various film related magazines and websites related to Ajith’s remuneration for his upcoming film with Director Gautham Menon. Today some websites have stated that post the success Arrambam and Veeram the star has raised his salary to Rs.28 crores and producer A.M.Ratnam has agreed to pay the amount since he is really happy with the performance of Arrambam and highly confident about the prospects of his upcoming venture.

It is also rumoured in certain sections that A.M.Ratnam has vowed to raise Ajith’s salary to a whopping 50 crores by the year 2015.

When we contacted sources that are very close to the actor, they confirmed that Ajith’s salary for the Gautham Menon directed film, will be Rs,25 crores. They also stated that the salary has been mentioned in the agreement he has signed with A.M.Ratnam for this untitled film that is going to commence soon. Ajith always follows this ‘keep it open’ principle when it comes remuneration. This brings the actor’s whole salary under the Income tax bracket. The star admired for his integrity and hardwork has never resorted to the practice of receiving a portion of salary, off the record in order to avoid tax. This is why the news about Ajith’s salary is easily accessible by people in the media.
