Ilayathalapathi Vijay's Jilla had a grand release yesterday had a rousing reception from fans across various sections the theaters screening the Neason directed flick wore a festive look.

The film that opened to mixed reviews has pleased Vijay fans mainly due to the the star and Malayalam Super-star Mohanlal acting together as Father-Son duo locking horns with each other beyond a point. The film that proved to be mass masala entertainer was ran to 3 hours and 2 minutes which lead to the criticisms that the film is a bit lengthy.

Respecting the comments from the audience, the makers have chopped of 10 minutes from the length of he film. The cut version of the film is being screened from last night and the new version is sure to attract more number of people.

Jilla has Kajal aggarwal playing Vijay's pair and leading heroine of the 80's, Poornima Bhagyaraj playing Lal's wife and the film is produced by R.B.Choudhary under his famous Super Good Films banner.
