Entertaining audience for more than eight years, acting is much more than profession for Nazriya Nazim; it is her passion. Just as she was launched as heroine, she has melted all hearts in the state, and wooed audience of all age groups. After a path breaking debut in Tamil-Malayalam bilingual 'Neram', and an adorable performance in 'Raja Rani', what is Nazriya's outlook on Kollywood, her colleagues and the scores of fans? In a recent interview to the media, Nazriya opened up on her experience in Kollywood. Speaking chronologically, Nazriya shared her thoughts, belief, opinion and fears in Kollywood. The actress was first signed in for the film 'Thirumanam Ennum NIkkah' opposite Jai, and she says "Jai is a charming person to be with. It is from him that I learnt most of the Tamil I speak today, given that my first Kollywood project was with him. A guide, mentor and a wonderful friend is all that Jai is. And Arya carries and enchanting personality! He is bubbly and full of energy on the sets. He seldom shies away from speaking truth on the face, and is a great person to hang out and have fun with. Arya is yet another person I share beautiful friendship with, in the industry."
Juggling two contradictory paths at the same time is a daunting task. When quizzed how she manages to strike perfect balance between acting and studies, Nazriya is ready with an answer. "That is a question which many people have asked me. I do agree that it is a difficult task, but not impossible. And here, I rely heavily on my friends. Whenever I find time between schedules, I catch up with them and take notes on the proceedings in class. My friends help me out a great deal on this regard, and also clarify my doubts whenever I have any. Most importantly, I make it a point to never miss an exam" beams Nazriya. Ask her to comment on Tamil audience, that is what gives her the jitters. "Tamil fans are a constant driving force and a lot I draw inspiration from. Sometimes I fear I may fall short of meeting their expectations, but it is this very thought that drives me forward to strive harder" says a confident Nazriya.
The charming actress concluded her interview, recounting a quirky experience she encountered - "I was walking with my mother one day and suddenly a young man came running to me and said that he loves me and loves my eyes. And waiting no further he sprinted off at the same speed that he arrived. When I think of the incident, it gets me giggling, but it also throws light on how much people adore me and expect of me."
