Like father, like son, they say. But Gautham Karthik says it is so not true. Speaking at the press meet of 'Ennamo Edho', Gautham revealed the confidence that his father gave him, when he first ventured into filmdom. "When I made my debut, my dad told me just one thing - don't be afraid of anything. What I become in our career - whether a romantic model or an action hero - is solely decided by the way I guide it in. No doubt that I got the best possible debut, as I was launched by a legendary director. I strictly adhered to Mani Ratnam's every word in 'Kadal'.

But getting a big break alone will not suffice. I put in all my sincere efforts to give the best I can" says Gautham who is currently acting in 'Ennamo Edho' which also includes Rakul Preet Singh, Nikesha Patel and Prabhu to its star cast. Gautham also expressed his excitement over sharing the screen with Prabhu, who has given classic performance with the young actor's father, in their hay days. When quizzed about his political views, Gautham is crisp in his response, "Unlike father, I am not politically inclined."
