'Verrappan is based on the true life incidents of slain Sandalwood smuggler Veerappan which was a super success in all the three languages it was released in viz., Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. We are excited to bring it in Telugu' Says M. Venkat Rao who says he's won the rights of the film in a hard fought battle and is happy for that. The film has Arjun, Lakshmi Roy, Kishore, Ravi Kale in the lead roles and is directed by AMR Ramesh. M Venkat Rao of JV Productions is producing the Telugu version, presented by Akshaya Creations, jointly with K Rama Krishna and AMR Ramesh. The movie is coming on the 20th September.

Venkat Rao added 'The movie is shot in real locations where Veerappan actually resided and carried on his smuggling activities from. Senior actor Kishore played the role of Veerappan to perfection and I can say, like how the earlier films on true incidents 'Dandupalyam' and '26/11' were successful, this movie will also prove successful. Action King Arjun in the IPS officer's role, Lakshmi Roy in journalist's role and others like Ravi Kale and Suresh Oberoi also lived their roles giving a huge boost to the film's running. Photography by Vijay Milton and Sandeep Chowtha's music have added a great value to the product. We are confident of the film's success at the Box office in Telugu as well'
