Rs.12 crore budget Kannada film ‘Bul Bul’ that has earned Rs.20 crores gross including the television satellite right celebrated fifty days and it was hosted by Prasanna theatre proprietors Anandappa and Ramachandra.

Canceling the evening show of the film at the theatre the 50th day celebration was attended Dr Ambarish Karnataka Minister of Housing, lead actor of ‘Bul Bul’ and challenging star Darshan with all the team members of the film.

The turnout of the fans at the gate of Prasanna theatre forced police to use their skill to disburse the onlookers. The occasion was 40th birthday for Prasanna theatre and 50th day of ‘Bul Bul’ was celebrated.

Dr Ambarish attending the budget presentation of chief minister of Karnataka in Assembly came straight to Prasanna theatre. The crowd was up in joy when Dr Ambarish and Darshan were jointly garlanded.

‘Bul Bul’ Mathadkilva were the words Ambarish uttered in 1972 in ‘Nagarahavu’ Kannada cinema. Ambarish played in the film of SR Puttanna Kanagal. It was a dashing debut for Vishnuvardhana that gave him all time success in his career.

The present day ‘Bul Bul’ starring Dr Ambarish and Darshan is an entertainment cinema and collected superbly in the box office all over Karnataka.

Receiving the felicitation Dr Ambarish said getting appreciation for a film and success is important. Darshan as challenging star tremendous in his work and his father name he is keeping high. ‘Sangolli Rayanna’ film made all of us proud in every manner added Dr Ambarish.

‘I am living from the alms given by the audience’ stated Darshan in his well measured words thanking people of Karnataka and his fans. Darshan received Rs.20 lakh worth motorbike Harley Davidson from his mother. This was the gift the co producers of the film – V Harikrishna, Kaviraj, MD Sridhar and Krishna Kumar arranged out of affection.

Smt Meena Toogudeepa Srinivas, Dinakar, MD Sridhar, Rachita Ram, Ramya Barne, Spoorthi, Ashok, Ramesh Bhat, Sihikahi Chandru, cameraman Krishna Kumar, music director V Harikrishna, Sharat Lohitashva, choreographer Harsha, Tennis Krishna, editor Sounder Raj, art director Ishwari Kumar and others received the honor on this occasion.
