Jayasurya is on cloud nine. The reason is that he has replaced Dhanush in Kamalhassan's Vasool Raja MBBS. The director Sharan decided to cast Jayasurya after seeing his debut Malayalam film Ooma Penninu Uriyada Payyan and the Tamil remakes.

In director Kamal's Swapnakoodu he won accolades for his role of Ashtamoorthy. Jaisurya's Chathikatha Chanthu is too a hit For a man who began his career as a compere in Surya TV just a couple of years back, this growth has been remarkable .
Tamil film "Vasool Raja, M.B.B.S" was to have two Malayali actors in the cast, but now it will have only one.

Kalabhavan Mani, who has created a niche for himself as a villain in Tamil cinema, has rejected the role of Circuit in the Tamil remake of the Hindi film "Munnabhai, M.B.B.S."

Mani has reportedly declined the offer in order to be available for Mohanlal's home production "Natturajavu", directed by Shaji Kailas.

But Malayalis will still be interested in "Vasool Raja, M.B.B.S" starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role.

Their blue-eyed boy Jayasurya has landed a plum role in it. He portrays the character of Zaheer, a sombre terminally ill patient, that was played by Jimmy Shergill in the original.
