Apart from actively singing for many leading music directors, Simbu is also shooting for 3 movies namely, 'Vaalu', 'Vettai Mannan' and 'Enga Enna Solluthu'. But he had recently posted on his micro blog that he has cancelled two of these projects. Talking to him revealed the reason. Both 'Vaalu' as well as 'Vettai Mannan' are produced by the same producer SS Chakravarthi. It seems like there was delay from the producer in carrying the movie forward. "As a norm, when one of my projects gets delayed, I am blamed to be the reason. But this time I did not want to take the blame for no mistake of mine. I received no communication from the producer in a long time, as he was busy with his other commitments and the films were getting delayed indefinitely.

Hence I had to take this hasty decision, though I was keenly interested in completing the films" says Simbu. However, the problem has been sorted now. After his post, he was contacted by the production house and the news is that he will continue working on the projects. Shooting of 'Vaalu' is to be resumed shortly, as only 9 days of shooting is left, following which the remaining 50 percent of 'Vettai Mannan' will be canned.
