Prasanth, the actor who has shot to fame in Telugu with the film 'Jeans', and the actor who has become a heartthrob of many young girls at that time, has now come up with a huge budgeted film titled 'Raja Kota Rahasyam', which has been directed by his father Thyagarajan. This handsome actor has shared many interesting things about the film, the reason for a long gap in Telugu, about his upcoming straight film in Telugu etc in an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz.

About the film

'Raja Kota Rahasyam' is a film which is going to be a visual wonder. No historical film like this has come in the last 20 years.The production values of the film are very high, and the film looks very grand. The film has been made with a huge casting, enormous settings, dancers, horses and the graphics will play a major share in the film The script given by Karunanidhi sir,the music by Ilayaraja sir, the technical aspects, the costumes, the performances of artists etc all will become the assets of the movie along with the direction. The film will give a very wonderful experience while watching. I specially thank Cinematographer Shaji for his outstanding work.

We have loved it

I will be seen in a dual role in this film. Previously, I was seen in a dual role in 'Jeans' film also. But this movie is different. I have to wear an armor, a shield and , and I have worked very hard for this film. This is a story that happened really some 1000 years ago and so we have to recreate history. The difference between the dual role in Jeans and this film is that in all the frames,the two characters will be seen together, and I thank Cinematographer Shaji sir for his outstanding work. Though it is hard, we have loved the movie so much and worked for it.

They look very real

We have used very sophisticated technology for this film. Though the graphics were used, the scenes look very real. We brought cameras from Australia, and we have used some very new sounds for this film. I have supervised the VFX work also. We proudly say that, in terms of technology, the film will stand out as a benchmark.

Budget

Actually we have never thought of the business the film would make. It is the love for the film that has made us to spend so much. I have done many different roles in my career, and I said my father that I want to do a historical film. So he has got ready for making a historical film and never thought of budget.

About Karunanidhi and Ilayaraja

When we have thought of making a historical movie, the first person who came to our mind is Karunanidhi sir. Because, he is a person, who has provided scripts for over 500 films. When we approached him, he has given us a wonderful novel written by him and that's how the film has begun. We are very thankful to him.

Talking about Ilayaraja sir, he has given about 20 tunes for this film. He is a music director who gives a single tune for a song in a single sitting. But he has given us 20 tunes and asked us to select from them. My father, Thyagarajan and he have worked very competently, and I am very happy at their work.

About Thyagarajan

My father Thyagarajan and me never feel like a father and son. We always move like good friends. Working with him is a pleasure, and I am very proud to have a father like him. He has done an outstanding work for this film.

About Co-stars

Sneha has been introduced into the movies with my film, and I am very happy at working with her again. Puja Chopra and Divya Parameswaran, who are former Miss Indias, have been introduced with this film. They are very lovely co-stars. It is a joy to work with senior artists like Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Khusboo, Nasser, Seetha etc

Affection of Telugu people

The affection that Telugu people show is unique and cannot be expressed in words. I have never seen such wonderful people. Even at the audio function of this film held recently, the love shown on me by some of the famous personalities like Dasari Narayana Rao sir and Mohan Babu sir is marvellous. The people here also have received me very well, and I am always grateful to them.

Long Gap in Telugu

I am an actor who take so much time for the films. For example, I have taken 2 years for 'Jeans' , one year for 'Donga Donga' and 5 years for 'Raja Kota Rahasyam' . I should be proud of my career if I look back after some time. So I take so much time for films. After Jeans and Jodi, I have become busy in Tamil, so I have not done any movies in Telugu

About plans of direction

Actually I am in the learning stage of acting and I have to learn so much in it. If I get a chance, I will definitely direct but my first preference is only acting as it is very comfortable

Upcoming films

I will be acting in a film titled 'Bebbuli', which is the remake of one of my father's films. I am also going to act in a straight film, which will be launched in July and a film in Telugu. We will annouce these cast and crew of the films soon.
