Immanuel's musician

Like the tag line of the movie 'Immanuel', it seems that god is with its music director, Afsal Yousuf who has mesmerized everybody with its music and BG tracks. The musician who does not make out what others see, but capture the beauty of music and the tunes of the vivacious world around him much better than anyone else. He thus ably proves that being visually challenged is no obstacle to creating quality music.
A former associate to Biji pal, Afsal is quite famous as a keyboard artist. He had earlier made many popular songs for films like 'Calender', Orange and Bombay March 12.Though the title song that he composed for the SRVC (Society for Rehabilitation of the Visually Challenged) campaign, put him into the lime light, his debut film as a music director was Biju Varkey's "Chandranilekkuulla Vazhy'. Gaana gandhgarvan Yesudas has listed one of Afsal's songs in Calender among his fifty bests sung in his illustrious career.
But the talented musician is hogging headlines now not only for the songs of 'Immanuel', but also for the beautiful BG scores of the film. Those who had been with the feelgood movie would really find it impressive and at the same time challenging for a visually challenged artist to give such a perfect BG scores. The tracks gel very much with the narratives that you hardly feel it as separate. Afsal Yousuf has now got plenty of works in filmdom, with many upcoming films in his kitty.
