Shriya Saran is playing the title role in a film titled 'Pavithra'. Janardhana Maharshi, who has won a national award with the film 'Devasthanam' is the director. K.Sadhak Kumar and G.Maheswara Reddy are producing the film.

The audio of the film has been released in Vizag.

Shriya says, " I am very happy at the audio function being done in Vizag. Most of the shooting was done here. I am very happy at being a part of this film . Janardhana Maharshi has made Pavithra very beautifully. Playing a character like this is never easy and it was the director who made me act very easily.This is one of the best characters I have done in my career. Srilekha has given wonderful music.The story and Screenplay of this movie are very good. Definitely this will become a turning point in my career. I will meet the Vizag fans again at the 100 days function".

Janardhana Maharshi said, " I consider K.Viswanath sir and K.Balachander sir as my mentors. K.Balachander touches all kinds of stories and makes them very excellently. I also thought so to make a variety movie that will be a challenge for me as a writer and a director.So I decided to make this film. These producers have a 30 years experience in industry and financed over 1000 films. This will definitely turn out as a good film".

Maheswara Reddy said, " We are planning to release the movie in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam at one time. We are also planning 'Parliament lo Pavithra' as a sequel to this film".

The producers say, " The post production work of the movie is going on now. We are satisfied at making a good movie. The director is making the movie excellently".

Brahmanandham, AVS, Yandamoori Veerendranath, Sai Kumar, Ravi Babu, Roja, Thelangana Shakunthala, Bharani, Koushik etc are the other cast.
