As quoted by the director of 'Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal', SR Prabhakaran, "For a change, one of the most glamourous actresses in Kollywood has shirked off all that to portray a typical girl next-door, in order to explore the further reaches of her acting prowess". In this Udhayanidhi starrer upcoming flick, Nayanthara plays the role of Pavithra, a middle-class working woman who falls in love with Kathirvelan. The movie is based in Coimbatore. Though the crew is currently shooting in Chennai, they will soon pack off to Coimbatore once this schedule is over. Interestingly, Nayan will not be cladding her glam look even for the songs.

Nayanthara entered the industry in a totally de-glam role with 'Ayya'; also, she recently shed her glam for the bilingual 'Sri Rama Rajyam'. But Nayan woos the audience nevertheles
