Kamal in remake of 'Munnabhai MBBS'

After a serious portrayal in Virumaandi, Kamal Haasan has put all speculations about his next movies to rest. He is all set to play the lead in a remake of the blockbuster hilarious Hindi movie Munnabhai MBBS.The film starring Sanjay Dutt and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra won accolades.

The movie will be made in Tamil and Director Charan is all set to wield the Megaphone for it. The movie is being produced by Gemini Television Group and shooting will commence in May. It is expected to be released this August.

Munnabhai MBBS is about a local gangster who aspires to become a doctor.

Though rumors were agog that Kamal Haasan will act in Director Goutham's next movie, it's official that Munnabhai MBBS's remake will be his next.

Asked about this, director Charan said, 'it's a great Honor to direct Kamal Haasan. We both have been Trained by veteran director K Balachander and I hope it would a nice experience working with him'.
