Arjun is happy with the way 'Inkaar' has performed and despite the fact that critical acclaim for the film has been on extremes, he is happy that some of the finer points around the Sudhir Mishra directed affair have been noticed.
Though 'Inkaar' was always meant to be a middle of the road cinema which wasn't quite being a quintessential hardcore commercial outing, he was convinced that the film had to be done. More so since he felt that there was a lot that he had seen up, close and personal.
"Yes, I was totally sold on the concept. Let me take an example. If I send a vulgar joke to a colleague of the opposite sex, she may feel offended and end up slapping a sexual harassment case on me. Now my intention might not be that and it would just have been a harmless act of mine. But then the question was around the dividing line between flirting and harassing; something that struck me really strong and hard", says Arjun,
This is what promoted him to say 'yes' to 'Inkaar' which had 'sexual harassment as its central character.
He says, "In fact I know of some offices in America where they encourage flirting because they feel that it results more productivity. Having said that it is prudent that flirting doesn't become harassment. I liked that line of thought."
