Actress Trisha has reportedly signed up for a heroine-oriented film, something she has never been seen doing in the past. The actress quickly dismissed reports she signed up for the project for the sake of money by saying "I will never sign up for work just for the sake of it, even if it means sitting at home".

A close source to the film says that it was M.S.Raju, the actress' mentor who convinced her to do the film. The story is expected to revolve around the actress and similar to Arundhathi, which had Anushka in the lead. "It is very much a contemporary subject and the actress was so impressed that she signed on the dotted line at once," the source revealed.

Meanwhile, when asked about her work, Trisha has always been very professional about the way she goes about things in the industry. "I survived in the industry for 10 years not only because of luck. The quality of films that I did mattered a lot. Even my flop films are those that I don’t regret doing. My policy has always been that I would never sign up for work, just for the sake of it -even if it means sitting at home for a couple of months," she said at an interview.
