Director Sarkunam is getting ready to catch a flight to Goa, where his 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' will be screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), on November 24.

It is to be noted that 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' is the only film from Kollywood to be selected for screening at the Indian panorama section of the festival.

"I am happy that my film will be screened at the coveted event. I am thrilled to take part in the festival, since I can meet filmmakers from different parts of the world," says Sarkunam.

Starring Vimal and Iniya in lead roles, 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', a period film set in the 1960s, spoke about the lives of brick kiln workers in rural areas of Tamil Nadu.
