Rumour mills were working overtime, suggesting that Sivakumar was unwell and the veteran actor was even admitted to a hospital.

However, sources close to the actor have denied it. "Sivakumar just visited hospital for a routine general check up. He is fit and fine," they said.

A popular actor, Sivakumar is the father of Suriya and Karthi, the two leading young actors of Tamil cinema.
