Mass Maharaja's film with his Don Seenu director, Gopichand Malineni, was launched on the occasion of Vijaya Dasami. The movie sees Shruti Hassan in heroine's role; and Anjali is playing second fiddle to her. Produced by Prasad V Potluri, the movie will be released in Telugu as well as Tamil.

Gopichand earlier this year directed Venkatesh-Trisha's Bodyguard, which was a modest BO farer. With him teaming up with Ravi Teja for another time, it will be interesting to watch how Balupu will be different than Don Seenu.

It is Kona Venkat who is penning the script.
