While Dil Raju offered to delete six scenes, the Government-appointed Chandravadan Committee, which had among its members Tammareddy Bharadwaj, has recommended nine deletions for CGTR.
It was constituted by DK Aruna, Minister for Information and Public Relations. The minister seems to have taken suo moto notice of the alleged offence taken by people of the Telangana region over some objectionable scenes in the film.
Played in over 450 theatres across the 10 districts of Telangana, the movie released on Oct 18 in 1,532 cinema theatres in the entire State.
Puri Jagannadh issued an apology on the second day of the film's release. It has been described by some sections of the media as a 'Seemandhra film'. In a sense, CGTR has shifted the politicians' attention to the film industry, again.
