Vazhakku En 18/9 and 7aum Arivu in Oscar nomination list

It is a great pleasure for Tamilians to know that the list of movies nominated for Oscar includes two films from the Tamil industry. 7am Arivu directed by AR Murugadoss and Vazhakku En 18/9 directed by Balaji Sakthivel are nominated from Kollywood.

The film federation of India (FFI) has chosen ten other movies from various Indian languages - Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Out of all these, one film will be shortlisted for the Oscar nomination as the “Best foreign film”.

Although Tamilians would feel proud for these two Tamil movies, we should still wait for knowing about the chances for these to get shortlisted. However, things are still under guess. Let us wait to know which film is going to hit the top rank.
