The trio rocked the screens and reviews in 2011 with ‘Rockstar’" Now buzz is that the ace filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, the handsome star Ranbir Kapoor and the renowned world rocking composer AR Rahman will come together for a project...

Grapevines have it that Imitaz Ali is keen to recreate the magic of immense success of ‘Rockstar’ by making a movie with Ranbir in lead and having Rahman to score its music.

While the project won’t take place immediately, it will be however produced by Sajid Nadiadwala when it happens. Earlier speculations were rife that the producer wants to bring a sequel of ‘Rockstar’.

But both the director and the actor apparently were not interested to do a melancholic story again.

Instead they wanted to erase all the gloomy effect of the film, and make a completely out-and-out fun entertainer next.

While the makers were keenly making plans about the new project, Imtiaz and Ranbir thought of bringing on AR Rahman on board as well.

The Oscar winning composer, although has given his nod for the project, however has requested some time to join the team. Currently Rahman has ‘Raanjhnaa’ in his kitty besides Yash Chopra’s untitled film.

On the other hand, sources said that, Sajid Nadiadwala has Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Heropanti’ and Arjun Kapoor’s ‘2 States’.

After these projects take off, Sajid will move on to Imtiaz-Ranbir-Rahman film, that is, sometime next year.

About the Imtiaz-Ranbir-Rahman film, sources shared that they won’t rope in Nargis Fakhri again and might sign on some A-list actress, mostly Katrina Kaif or Anushka Sharma.
