Now that Sonakshi has started shooting with Akshay Kumar for 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2', one wonders whether she wishes to lay all speculations to rest about her role being based on Mandakini's character.

After all, grapevine has been abuzz with this rumour and since the makers (Milan Luthria, Ekta Kapoor) haven't declared anything on the records, would she care to spill the beans?

"The character that I am playing is fictional", she says, "Just because it is set in that particular time period, people are speculating about its source. In fact various characteristics have been taken from a lot of people and then moulded to create one personality. As for me, all I can say is that I can completely identify with the character.

It's a huge challenge no less and also a really good role for anyone to get it so early in the career."

One wonders whether this challenge would also include getting under a waterfall for the iconic 'Mandakini scene' from Ram Teri Ganga Maili.

Sonakshi smiles evasively, "Well, for that the best person to talk about is the director and the writer for the film. They would know best."

Well Sonakshi, we would do that for sure.
