A handful of films, mostly newcomers at the helm of affairs, are hitting the screens today. The list includes '18 Vayasu', 'Peruman', 'Anil' and 'Achariyangal'.
'18 Vayasu' brings together the 'Renigunta' team once again. Director Panneerselvam and protagonist Johnny are hopeful of repeating the magic with this film, which is psychological thriller. Newcomer Gayathri is the heroine.
'Peruman' is directed by Rajesh Kannan, with Ajrun and Sruthi in the lead roles. Set in the backdrop of Chennai, the film, according to its makers, speaks about a youth who aspires to become big in life.
While 'Anil' has Anil Bharath, Ashrith Bhanu and others in lead roles and directed by ARS, 'Achariyangal' is a film by Harshawardhan, who is alumni of Kamal Haasan's cinema workshop.
