'Aadukalam' makes a clean sweep

Multiple National Award winner 'Aadukalam', a Dhanush starrer film directed by Vetrimaaran, made its presence felt in a big way at the 59th Filmfare awards ceremony (south) in Chennai on Sunday.

The Madurai based movie won four honors- Best film, best director, best actor male and best music composer (G V Prakash Kumar).

Anjali won the best actress award for 'Engeyum Eppodhum' and Ananya bagged best supporting actor female for the same flick. The 'Sara sara...' song in 'Vaagai Sooda Va' went home with two awards- best singer (Chinmayee) and best lyrics (Vairamuthu).

Kamal Haasan presented the best debut female award to Shruti Haasan. Vikram, Dhanush, Karthi Sivakumar, Deepika Padukone, Venkat Prabhu, Nayanthara, Tamannah and others were present.
