In a bid to encourage students to perform well in exams, Vijay announced on Wednesday that he would give prizes to top three performers in public examinations, besides spending a whole day with them!

Speaking at the launch of Thalapathi Anthem, a music album created by his fans in praise of him, Vijay said he is concerned about the education of youngsters. "Proper studies alone can uplift students. Nothing else will do," he said.

Vijay said that top three performers in tenth and twelfth standard public examinations would get a chance to spend a day with him. The Ilayathalapathy also said that he was planning to reach out more to the needy, in all possible ways.

"I am happy to note that my fans are already involved in a lot of social activities. They are doing it by spending from their own pockets. I will support them," he said amidst thunderous cheers from the audience.
