Pan Indian actress turned filmmaker, Revathy, has bagged her third National Award in the 59th National Awards that were announced yesterday. The actress’s short film, ‘Red Building Where The Sun Sets’ has bagged the prestigious award for the ‘Best Non-Feature Film Category’.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaGlitz, the actress who is known for her penchant for quality ventures says, “It is a 17-minute short film on parents and how they have to bring up their children. I’m happy that I won this award, however I must say that we made it for awareness and didn’t aim for any award. This has come as a pleasant surprise”.

Revathy has earlier bagged two National Awards for the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in ‘Thevar Magan’ a 1993 release and the Best Feature Film in English for ‘Mitr, My Friend’ that garnered much critical acclaim.
