Shriya vs. producer

A war of words is brewing between Shriya Saran and Malaysia Pandian, producer of the Tamil dubbed version of Malayalam movie 'Pokkiri Raja'.
While the actress claims that she needs to be paid for the movie to be dubbed in Tamil, the producer says he is not entitled to do so, as he did not have any such agreement with Shriya Saran.
According to Shriya, it is a condition by her during the signing of the project itself that she should be given extra remuneration if the film was dubbed in any other language.
After coming to know that attempts are on to dub 'Pokkiri Raja' in Tamil as 'Raja Pokkiri Raja', she filed a complaint with the South Indian Film Artistes Association.
Reacting to this, Pandian has shot off letters to Shriya and Film Chamber, stating that the original Malayalam producer was only entitled to pay Shriya. "I don't have any such agreement with her and I would be forced to go to the court if the film's release is halted for any reason," he said.
