For all the super budgeted films that Shruthi Hassan has done, she is still a star-in-the-making. Strangely enough, the ingenious actor in her has eluded the notice of critics and audience alike somehow. Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu was a dud. Oh My Friend never broke even. 7th Sense was at best a fizzle.

In this backdrop, Shruthi's forthcoming film Gabbar Singh occupies prominence. The Haasan daughter has already quoted that she is playing a character with lots of scope for portraying a myriad emotions. According to her, she has the opportunity to prove herself to the fullest extent possible through this role. Though she is playing Sonakshi Sinha's role in Dabbang, the role has been modified by the writers of the Telugu version. "In Gabbar Singh, I have the opportunity to prove myself to the fullest extent. My role is typically different when compared with the role of Sonakshi Sinha."

She is not someone who hankers after trivial roles and acts for the sake of acting. The attitude with which she has taken up the role opposite Pawan Kalyan shows her resolve and determination. The limelight she will come to hog after the release of this rural entertainer will depend much on the chemistry she strikes with Power Star.
