Multi-faceted Thangar Bachan is working on a documentary – ‘Thane Puyalin Aruvadai’ that will focus on the killer ‘Thane’ cyclone that massively affected the TN districts in late 2011. The 35-minute account will release both in Tamil and English as a bilingual.

Says a source close to the development, “Thangar Bachan feels that the loss incurred by the Thane cyclone is not just a monetary one but heavy damage has been done to the nature which is sure to affect the generations to come. It’s a great loss and he felt the need to document it and take it to the masses”.

Several celebrities from the film fraternity have come forward and donated funds and provided aid in other forms towards this cause, including Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Sivakumar and several others.

Let’s hope multiple award winning Thangar Bachan’s documentary strikes a chord among the audience…
