It looks like the on going tussle between the producers’ union and FEFSI has forced director AR Murugadoss to put his project with Ilayathalapathy Vijay, ‘Thupaki’, on the backburner and work on a short film before it.

‘Thupaki’ a high voltage action entertainer has a chunk of the film to be canned in Mumbai and the on going tussle has brought this film along with a host of other Tamil films to a standstill and Vijay cashed in on the opportunity and went on a ‘Nanban’ post release promotional tour.

Say sources, “ARM overheard two young lovers converse and he was struck with this idea of a short film on love, he’ll soon be working on this project which will have fresh faces. He’s on a hunt for the right school goers to play the lead in it”.

As they say, short films are the future of cinema and it now looks like we will soon get to see Murugadoss’s venture…
