Sid hopes for a definite hit in 2012

Success has eluded Siddharth for long now. It was in 2006 that he last delivered a big hit. Not that Aata, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam and the recent one, Oh My Friend, were not good films, but they were not definite hits in terms of BO run. In fact, all the three, especially KIKK and OMF were critically-acclaimed, but the audience response to them was warm.
Year 2012, Sid earnestly hopes, will be very different. Indeed, he has a case to make. Besides the soon-to-be-released Love Failure, he has signed a film with Nandini Reddy as director. This untitled film has many positives going for it. For one, it stars Samantha, who is considered to be the 'Golden Girl', thanks to her image of striking luck with film after film. For another, producer Bellamkonda Suresh is in full form with all the right choices (as evidenced by films from Kanchana to the recent Bodyguard). Above all, Sid can rely on the talent of Nandini, who might well repeat Ala Modalaindi's success.
The chocolate boy has always made the right choices, barring a Bava or Striker, but success has somehow shown him cold shoulder. If even the good ones had difficulty to break-even, what was more unfortunate was the fact that his performances have often gone unnoticed. For example, his OMF act, which is perhaps the most underrated performance of the year 2011.
