It looks like the tussle between TFPC and FEFSI is affecting upcoming films in ways more than one (apart from shoots coming to a standstill). The latest is that ace director Bharathiraja might replace his lead hero, Ameer, of Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum with another actor.
Grapevine is abuzz that Ameer, an active FEFSI member is busy with the strike and is not prioritizing his film AK over it and thus Bharathiraja, who takes his films seriously, is looking for a replacement as there is no other option. The film is touted to be a mid 2012 release.
It may be mentioned earlier Parthiepan was supposed to play the lead in this film but the director opted for Ameer in the end, surprising many. The film is a rural one and has Karthika Nair of Ko and Iniya as the lead ladies.
