Sandalwood's reigning star Puneet Rajkumar will act in the remake version of Sangharshana (originally released in Tamil as Poraali). The film will be directed by Samuthirakani himself. While Sasikumar's role will be reprised by Puneet Rajkumar, Allari Naresh and Vasundhara will play the same roles as they played in the original.

The film definitely marks an interesting horizontal mobility for Naresh, who has been doing quite well in Tamil. As an actor of proven talent, he has acquired laurels for portraying a psychologically upset character in the film.

Even while the film was in the making, the director had said that Naresh and Sasikumar were acting in good competitive spirit. Naresh has already won critical applause for the role. Looks like he is all set to win some awards in Tamil and Kannada.
