Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that the big films of Tamil cinema will hit the screens only during festivals henceforth as the TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council) has come forth with this idea in a move to encourage small films

TFPC's Vice President, Siva of Amma Creations expressed at the audio launch of 'Attaikathi' that TFPC has decided to implement this rule for the benefit of small budget films for this will ensure a good run of small films as well. "We want to implement this rule so small budget films get good screens as well", expressed Siva.

If this is to be true the big Tamil films will only release on the occasion of Pongal, Tamil New Year, Deepavali and May Day! Whether or not a film will fall in the category of big films will be decided by TFPC.

An official announcement will be made later today by TFPC which will determine the fate of film releases in Kollywood.
