Nag wants to surprise us

At this age, Nagarjuna no longer wants to do run-of-the-mill stuff. Speaking candidly, the ageing actor has made an honest confession that must take you by surprise. He is aware of the fact that he will not get to do beyond a dozen films as the main lead and realizes the acute need to act in avant garde (our word) films.
He is, in fact, well on the right path. Nag says that Rajanna was a conscious decision in that direction. Why, even Gaganam was one such film born out of the conviction. "Luckily, things are falling in place," he says.
Nag will take us by awe when he sports a white beard in K Raghavendra Rao's Shiridi Sai. He is planning to start making up for the role from Jan. 25. Damarukam, which is based on the novel, The Immortals of Meluha, is also one such experimental film. Produced on the banner of Annapurna Studios, the film sees him playing a mythical character who sets his foot in the contemporary time.
With age, Nag has definitely become mature as an actor as well as an individual. He is making the right moves. May Nag get the right scripts which will give him commercial hits as well as quench his thirst for meaningful cinema!
