A day after it was announced that Vikram's forthcoming film with director Vijay has been titled 'Thaandavam', we present you today the reason behind naming the movie so. "Vikram plays Shiva and the entire script is about his activities. Hence the title, denoting Shiva Thaandavam," sources express.

The film's shooting will commence in Chennai next month and will shift to the United States, where major portions of the movie are to be shot. Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson will be the two heroines, while Santhanam will be there to provide hilarious moments.

For director Vijay, this is the second time to work with all the four actors. While he directed Amy Jackson for 'Madrasapattinam', he had worked with the remaining three - Vikram, Anushka and Santhanam- in his latest offering 'Deiva Thirumagal', which won rave reviews.

Interestingly, it is the same UTV Motion Pictures, which is producing 'Thaandavam' now. Says Vikram, "I am so happy to work with Vijay again. Thaandavam will be a straight contrast to Deiva Thirumagal. It will be an action movie that's sleekly packed."
