Venkat Prabhu who has graced Tamil cinema with four success hits (all his films being hits), celebrates his birthday on November 7. The director is currently basking in the victory of his latest venture with Thala Ajith, 'Mankatha', that is one of the biggest grossers this year.

It may be mentioned that even before his directorial debut; Venkat Prabhu has done several character roles in Tamil cinema. All his four films have been trendsetters in the industry and multi-starrers. But having roped in Ajith to don an out-and-out baddie in 'Mankatha' with negative shades till the very end is what that sets him apart as not many would have taken the bold initiative.

The director is currently toying with the idea of doing a multi-starrer with his 'gang' of boys or directing a venture with Suriya who is presently shooting for 'Maatraan'.
