Madhan Karky is going strong and steady on the path laid by his legendary father, Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu. The young lyricist who started his career in Tamil cinema with 'Ododi Poren...' in 'Kanden Kadhalai' a couple of years back has completed penning 50 songs!

Though the first song he wrote was for Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Enthiran' ('Irumbiley...'), it was the Kannan-directed 'Kanden Kadhalai' that hit the screens first and announced his arrival to all. Since then, there was no looking back for this 'Kavignar', who is a techie as well.

And now, he has penned his 50th song for 'Kadhalil Sodhappavudhu Eppadi', a film starring Siddharth and Amala Paul in lead roles, and directed by debutant Balaji. Thaman has composed music for the lyrics by Karki, and the song is said to be about the protagonist's feelings for his lady love.

Interestingly, Karki has written all the songs in 'Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Eppadi'. Expressing his gratitude to directors and music composers on his achieving the 50-song mark, the lyricist says, "It was the freedom given to me by them that helped me a lot."
